Fans got into the "Space Oddity" spirit at last year's festival

The Isle of Wight's Bestival event has announced "fantasy" as the fancy dress theme for 2010.

The festival encourages fans to create their own costumes, with this year's choice giving revellers a wide scope to play with.

Past themes have included "A Space Oddity" (2009) and "30,000 Freaks Under the Sea" (2008).

Meanwhile, Mumford & Sons, Tricky and The Temper Trap are some of the acts that have been added to the bill.

Those previously confirmed include Ellie Goulding, The Flaming Lips, Delphic and Dizzee Rascal.

Radio 1 DJ Rob da Bank is the mastermind behind the event and has helped grow the festival into an established part of the late summer calendar.

Last year's bash was headlined by Kraftwerk, Elbow and Massive Attack.

Tickets for the 2010 event, which takes place from 9-12 September, are on sale now.
