Tinchy Stryder says he has spoken to Jay-Z about X Factor wannabe Cher Lloyd.
Tinchy recently signed a deal with Jay-Z for a business venture aimed at signing and developing new talent.
He told BBC 1Xtra News if Simon Cowell doesn't snap up Cher he'd be interested: "If Simon doesn't sign her we can look into something.
"When she came on The X Factor I'd never seen anyone on a show like that.
"No one expected her to come out like that, she had some swagger."
He added: "I like Cher Lloyd's style, I've met her a couple of times.
"She didn't do that for the show - she naturally likes that style of music, she's cool."
Tinchy even wanted to have her as a special guest at one of his events.
"When I had an album launch I wanted to bring her out and do a little surprise.
"But I only thought of it on the day so it was a bit too last minute to do."
Business deal
As well as his business deal with Roc Nation Tinchy has just persuaded a high street retailer to stock his clothing line Star in the Hood.
When his records were struggling to take off, Tinchy bank rolled himself with his clothing line.
It made £500,000 in one year.
The T-shirts and hoodies were being sold at gigs and in specialist stores until now.
Tinchy says he grew up shopping in the store: "To have my own clothing in there, it's a major store. Everyone goes there.
"It shows the progression, starting from my bedroom to now having it in somewhere like that it's a good feeling.
"That's a big achievement for me."
