Foo Fighters reveal name for seventh studio album

US rockers Foo Fighters have revealed that their seventh studio album is called Wasting Light.

The record is out in the UK in April and will contain 11 tracks including first single Rope, which will be released on 1 March.

The band has also recorded a video for another track on the album, White Limo, featuring Lemmy from Motorhead.

The follow-up to Echoes, Silence, Patience & Grace was recorded in frontman Dave Grohl's garage.

It was produced by Butch Vig, who worked on Nirvana's Nevermind album in 1991, using only analogue tape.

A documentary charting the band's history is also being released alongside the new record.

Foo Fighters play a number of concerts in the UK this year including a headlining slot at the Isle of Wight in June and a weekend in Milton Keynes in July.
