JLS will release their first 3D concert film in June

Former X Factor boy band JLS are to release their first 3D concert movie which will be screened in cinemas across the UK on Friday 3 June.

Eyes Wide Open was filmed during a date at London's O2 Arena in January.

The film promises to show "never seen before" interviews and backstage footage of the group.

Marvin Humes, from the band said: "It's another JLS first. Making a movie has always been on our wish list and now we've accomplished that goal."

Tickets for the screenings go on sale on Friday 1 April.

Marvin Humes added: "We want our fans to see another side to us, a more intimate side, proper fly on the wall camera stuff."

The foursome's second album, Outta This World, has sold more than half a million copies since it was released in autumn 2011.
