Lady Gaga is set to make an appearance on social gaming website FarmVille.

The site's 46 million monthly users, who manage virtual farms where they can harvest crops and look after livestock, will be treated to a new farm called GagaVille.

The addition will appear from 17 to 26 May to promote Gaga's latest album, Born This Way, which is out on 23 May.

FarmVille players will be able to exclusively stream tracks from the album six days before release.

Gaga-themed quests will follow storylines from the upcoming album and allow FarmVille users to unlock digital radio service iHeartRadio, which will give access to the new songs.

There will also be limited edition virtual items on offer, through special codes announced in the US on 17 May.

"I want to celebrate and share Born This Way with my little monsters in a special way that's never been done before," Lady Gaga told The Hollywood Reporter.

"Zynga has created a magical place in FarmVille where my fans can come play and be the first to listen to the album."

Two singles have already been released from Born This Way, including the title track and recently released Judas.

GagaVille has sprung up through a collaboration between the singer, games developer Zynga and Clear Channel Radio.
