Take That are to make available a limited number of extra tickets to their record-breaking Progress UK tour.

The batch of passes will go on sale for all of the summer shows on Friday 20 May at 9am.

The 27-date run begins in Sunderland on 27 May before visiting Manchester, Cardiff, Glasgow, Birmingham and London.

Tickets originally went on sale in October with almost 1.6 million being snapped up immediately.

Demand for the concerts crashed online ticket outlets and saw the five-piece add a string of extra dates.

Last month it was announced Pet Shop Boys would provide the main support on the tour.

Take That have also announced that they will release an expanded version of their 2010 album Progress.

The double-disc album called Progressed will feature eight new songs.

It will be released on 13 June.
