Coldplay have been added to the iTunes festival line-up at London's Roundhouse

Coldplay have announced they will be taking part in this year's iTunes festival.

The band posted a message on their website which read: "Good morning.

"We're pleased to report that Coldplay are performing at the iTunes Festival 2011, a series of concerts which take place at the Roundhouse in London throughout July."

The festival runs for the whole of July and will also feature intimate studio sessions.

Coldplay will perform at London's Roundhouse in Camden on 22 July.

The band's latest single is Every Teardrop Is A Waterfall.

Gwyneth Paltrow, who is married to Coldplay frontman Chris Martin, is expected to take part in one of the studio sessions.

Bassist Guy Berryman said: "The iTunes Festival always has a brilliant cross section of artists but this year might just be the best ever.

"We're very proud to be part of such an impressive line-up."

The festival will also see performances from Adele, Jessie J, Kasabian, Arctic Monkeys, Katy B and Foo Fighters.
