Jessie J says she's received death threats from people who don't like her music.

The singer, told Q magazine that her personal style can be a bit like Marmite, as people either love her or hate her.

She said: "I've had people say, 'I wanna kill you and your family.' I've had people say I hope you get HIV and throat cancer at the same time."

In February the 23-year-old won the Critics Choice award at the Brits.

The singer admitted she's been criticised for her appearance, adding: "They say I look like a drag queen."

She also spoke about internet rumours claiming she's a devil worshipper, after speculation over a hand gesture she used in the video for Price Tag.

"It's 666 apparently. To me it's saying OK," she said.

"People have played Do It Like A Dude backwards and said they can hear the devil.

"I think the world has become obsessed with hating things.

"But people who wanna spread bad energy, I ain't got time for them to be in my psyche."

Jessie J recently played Glastonbury, despite breaking her foot, and has a host of appearances lined up at summer festivals in the UK including iTunes and V Festival.

She kicks off her own headline tour in October before supporting Katy Perry's California Dreams US tour in November.

As well as reaching number one with Price Tag earlier in the year, she also topped the BBC's Sound of 2011 poll.
