Robbie Williams officially rejoined Take That in 2010 after 15 years out of the group

Robbie Williams has claimed he will go on a solo tour after Take That's Progress UK shows are complete.

Responding to questions from fans on his blog the 37-year-old singer said: "There will be a solo tour and I'm not sure where I'll be going yet."

The boy band's future had been unclear beyond their current set of concerts.

The final night of the tour, the biggest the UK and Ireland has ever seen, will take place this weekend at Wembley stadium (9 July).

Public 'perception'

In the blog, posted on 7 July, Williams also addressed a question about his own performances during the Progress tour.

"I am aware that there is a perception in certain quarters and I'm enjoying throwing that perception down people's throats when I jump through the wall on L.M.E.Y (Let Me Entertain You)," he wrote.

"I've never felt more on my game and it's thanks, in part, to the naysayers. They put fire in my belly and, in turn, a smile on my face.

"When the tickets go on sale for my next tour I think we'll see what 'dwindling' looks like."

Williams officially rejoined the band in 2010, 15 years after he originally split with the group.

During the gigs Williams has been performing a selection of his solo hits including Angels and Rock DJ as well as material from the band's 2010 album Progress.
