Red Hot Chili Peppers gig to be broadcast in cinemas

I'm With You is the first Red Hot Chilli Peppers album in five years

The Red Hot Chili Peppers are to broadcast a live gig to cinemas around the world, showcasing their forthcoming 10th album.

The band are set to play their I'm With You LP in its entirety, as well as "select greatest hits".

Tickets go on sale on Friday 5 August, with a series of screenings set to start on Tuesday 30 August.

Fans can check which cinemas are participating by logging onto the Chili Peppers' official website.

The band also recently announced a nine-date UK tour for this autumn.

They begin a three-night stint at London's O2 Arena on 7 November before playing gigs in Glasgow, Manchester, Sheffield and Birmingham.

I'm With You, the first Chili Peppers album in five years, is released on 30 August 2011, while lead single The Adventures Of Rain Dance Maggie is out now.
