TV star Amanda Holden and her unborn baby are said to be fine after a crash involving a lorry.

The Britain's Got Talent judge was taken to hospital by a passing stranger. Doctors performed emergency checks and gave the all-clear.

A spokeswoman said she was collecting her daughter from school in west London yesterday when the accident happened.

The actress has pulled out of tonight's performance (8 September) of West End hit Shrek The Musical, as she recovers.

"The lorry's fine, Amanda's car isn't," a statement from her spokeswoman said.

"Amanda is so grateful to her good Samaritan."

The 40-year-old, who announced she was pregnant two weeks ago, lost a baby earlier this year seven months into her pregnancy.
