James Corden is to host the Brits for the third time at London's O2 Arena on 21 February.

The Gavin & Stacey star hosted on his own last year and co-hosted with Kylie Minogue and Mathew Horne in 2009.

"I enjoyed presenting the show so much last year so being asked back for the third time is a real honour," he said.

"Ever since I was a teenager I've loved the Brit Awards. As a music fan I feel totally privileged to have the best seat in the house. I can't wait."

The show was revamped this year to put more emphasis on the best album category.

It was designed to make it more like the Oscars' best film slot.

Mumford & Sons' record Sigh No More picked up the top prize.

Sir Peter Blake, the artist behind the Beatles' Sgt Pepper record sleeve, has been commissioned to design the Brit Award gong this year.
