The Wanted have discussed rumours that they're set to star in their own reality TV show.

Jay McGuiness told Newsbeat that they've been considering the idea because they don't want their British fans to miss them when they're on tour.

"Every time someone has asked us to do a TV show before we haven't been bothered about it," he said.

"But then someone said while we're in America our [British] fans will want to still see us."

Nathan then joked: "They've promised it'll be on after the watershed."

The band also spoke about what fans can expect from their UK tour in February.

"I want the set to reflect how the music makes people feel. I want it to be one great visual audio combination that just hits people," Jay said.

The Wanted have scored top five hits in the UK with Glad You Came, Lightning, All Time Low and Heart Vacancy.

Their album, Battleground, was released last month.
