Slash, Megadeth and Steel Panther are the latest acts to be added to this year's Download Festival line-up.

The former Guns N' Roses guitarist will headline the second stage on Friday 8 June at Donington Park.

Slash broke the news on Twitter: "Looks like we're playing Download. We're headlining, so we can do a full set!"

A re-formed Black Sabbath, Metallica and The Prodigy are the three main headliners at this year's festival, held between 8-10 June.

Joining the acts already announced will be Black Label Society, Kyuss Lives!, Rise Against, Fear Factory, Terrorvision and Ginger Wildheart.

Biffy Clyro, Soundgarden, Chase & Status, Tenacious D, You Me At Six, Lamb of God, Trivium, Anthrax, Ugly Kid Joe and Machine Head are also on the bill.

To celebrate the festival's 10th anniversary, weekend arena ticket prices are being kept at last year's prices until midday on Thursday 2 February.

Last year's headliners were Def Leppard, System of a Down and Linkin Park.
