Tulisa Contostavlos will appear as a guest on Britain's Got Talent, programme makers have confirmed.

Simon Cowell has signed up the N-Dubz star to perform on the ITV talent competition in his latest show of support following her sex tape scandal.

Details are still to be confirmed but the singer is believed to be performing her new single Young in the live shows.

She said she was looking forward to performing in front of her X Factor boss.

"I'm very excited performing my single for the first time on Britain's Got Talent," she told The Sun.

"It's a huge show, with a massive amount of viewers, for my first live solo music performance.

"Of course, Simon will be on the panel watching, so I'm performing in front of the X Factor boss too!"

Cowell recently told Newsbeat he wanted Tulisa back "one hundred percent" as an X Factor judge after a video of her performing a sex act appeared online.

The 52-year-old said he was "absolutely appalled" that someone had leaked the tape.

Young is released on 29 April.
