One Direction album called Take Me Home, says Louis

The new One Direction album will be called Take Me Home, according to band member Louis Tomlinson.

He tweeted today, external: "So pleased to tell you that our new album is called 'take me home' can't wait for you to hear it! More news soooon! #takemehome."

Last week the boys named Live While We're Young as the first song from the album. It's since become the fastest-selling pre-order single in history.

The new album is due to be released on 12 November.

One Direction's debut, Up All Night, also made history when it was released in March, going straight to the top of the US album charts.

The five-piece have notched up combined sales of more than 12 million singles, albums and DVDs in the last year.

New single Live While We're Young is out on 30 September.

The group are also lined up to perform at the US MTV Awards in September, as well as Radio 1's Teen Awards in October.
