South Korean pop star Psy has been presented with his Guinness World record for the most 'liked' song ever , external.

Gangnam Style has had nearly five million likes and has also been number one in 28 countries.

The certificate was presented to the rapper on Scott Mill's Radio 1 show, who Psy credited with breaking him in the UK.

"You're the guy that made me number one in the UK," the singer said. "You did it all."

Psy, who is visiting the UK on a promotional trip, said he didn't believe how famous he had become.

"I was shocked," he said. "I didn't believe it, because I don't believe online.

"So it was only when I came here and experienced it with my own eyes that I believed it."

The singer also revealed that he didn't realise how popular his video was until five days after he posted it.

"So I released a video on 15 July," he said. "Then on 20 July I noticed lots of people tweeting my video.

"In the UK Robbie Williams even tweeted it. In early August I realised something big was going on."

In the US, it was Justin Bieber's manager Scooter Braun who was the first person to tweet the Gangnam Style video.

The star says the questions he gets asked most are how many times has he done the dance and can he teach it.

"People don't realise I have been around for a long time now," he said. "This single was on my sixth album. So I have five other dances for my five other albums.

"I have done the dance with Justin Bieber and Britney but her dress was too tight.

"She wasn't expecting my apprearance. I also heard that Obama can do Gangnam style."

Guiness World Records editor Craig Glendy presented the certificate to Psy on the Scott Mills' show.

"This is so touching," he said. "I never got a certificate from college, so this was my first certificate ever."
