Justin Timberlake and Jay-Z are the first artists confirmed to headline concerts at London's Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park.

The stars will top the bill on separate nights of the Wireless festival on 12 and 13 July.

They are the first acts announced by promoters Live Nation since they revealed plans to move into the venue.

Organisers said Jay-Z's appearance would be his only European date in 2013.

'New home'

Wireless have said it would also be Justin Timberlake's only UK festival show of the summer. He will be joined on Friday 12 July by Snoop Dogg, Trey Songz, John Legend and, special guest, Frank Ocean.

Saturday 13 July will be headlined by Jay-Z. Other artists confirmed for that day include Emeli Sande, Rita Ora, Kendrick Lamar, DJ Fresh and Calvin Harris.

Steve Homer from Live Nation said: "Wireless Festival has gone from strength to strength since its inception in 2005. We're incredibly excited to take it to its new home, London's iconic Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park."

Earlier this month Justin Timberlake and Jay-Z appeared on stage together at the Grammy Awards to perform their collaboration Suit & Tie.

Tickets go on general sale on Friday 22 February, priced at £57.50 per day.

In January, Wireless organisers Live Nation revealed their plans to move to the east London venue ending a 10-year spell hosting events at Hyde Park.

Promoters AEG has now moved into Hyde Park to host events including their new festival British Summer Time, which is to begin on 28 June.
