Idris Elba, John Newman and Naughty Boy will all play sets at this year's V Festival.

Lawson and Seasick Steve are also announced for the line-up on 17 and 18 August.

Headlined by Beyonce and Kings of Leon, V Festival takes place at Hylands Park in Essex and Weston Park in Staffordshire.

Other acts already set to perform include The Script, Emeli Sande, Calvin Harris, Jessie J and Rudimental.

Idris Elba, known for his roles in Luther and The Wire, will make a debut festival appearance with a hip-hop and dance DJ set.

The actor's next film is Mandela: Long Walk To Freedom, which chronicles the former South African president's life.

British singer John Newman reached number one with Love Me Again earlier this month and will play both sites.

Paloma Faith, Olly Murs, Two Door Cinema Club, Labrinth and Rita Ora are also confirmed on the line-up.

V Festival started in 1996 when Pulp singer Jarvis Cocker announced he would like to play two outdoor venues in two days.

Since then the festival has expanded to take place across two days in both locations and feature four stages.

Last year's event was headlined by The Killers and Snow Patrol.
