Kanye West is being sued by a photographer who says he attacked him at Los Angeles International Airport.

Daniel Ramos, who was one of the paparazzi waiting for the rapper on 19 July, says he was punched by West and was wrestled to the ground.

The lawsuit claims Ramos was a victim of assault, battery and negligence and that his civil rights were violated.

"I told him twice, 'I don't want to fight you'," Ramos said. "However, he attacked me anyway."

Last week LA's district attorney decided not to prosecute Kanye West, saying Daniel Ramos didn't have a significant injury.

Kanye West is due to perform at the MTV Video Music Awards (VMAs) this weekend for a record seventh time.

The rapper will showcase his single Black Skinhead at the event on 25 August at Barclays Centre in Brooklyn, New York.
