Bombay Bicycle Club have announced details of a UK tour for March 2014.

The indie rock four-piece will start at Leeds' O2 Academy before shows in Glasgow, Aberdeen, London and Manchester.

The tour will follow the release of the band's upcoming forth album, which is scheduled to come out on 3 February.

In a recent interview on Zane Lowe's Radio 1 show, singer Jack Steadman said he travelled the world to get out of his routine for the new record.

Steadman spent three weeks in India writing some of the album where he was "sampling loads of old Bollywood" to get inspiration.

He also spent time in Turkey writing for the album, which he says "was very surreal."

Steadman added: "I felt more energetic when I was travelling. I felt more happy as well. That helps you write better songs I think."

Bombay Bicycle Club's upcoming album is the follow-up to 2011's A Different Kind Of Fix.

Tickets go on general sale Friday 15 November
