Daft Punk's Get Lucky named most streamed song of 2013

Daft Punk's Get Lucky was the most streamed track of 2013 in the UK.

The dance duo's million-selling single topped the list of most listened to songs ahead of Bastille's Pompeii and Robin Thicke's Blurred Lines.

According to the Official Charts Company, the number of songs streamed in the UK last year was almost double 2012's figure.

In the last year 7.4 billion songs were streamed via premium or ad-funded music services.

Passenger's Let Her Go and Avicii's Wake Me Up complete the top five on the list.

Naughty Boy's La La La and Radioactive by Imagine Dragons also appear in the top 10.

Calvin Harris appears on the list more than any other artist

American acts make up more than 40% of the top 40 most-streamed songs of 2013, while home-grown acts make up 37.5% of the chart.

Scottish DJ and producer Calvin Harris appears three times in the top 40, more than anyone else.

The highest charting of the three is I Need Your Love featuring Ellie Goulding.

Bruno Mars, Ellie Goulding, Justin Timberlake, Macklemore and Ryan Lewis, Pharrell Williams and Rudimental each feature twice on the list.

Bastille's Pompeii, Daft Punk's Get Lucky and Avicii's Wake Me Up each spent seven weeks at the top of the streaming chart during the year.
