One Direction singer Liam Payne has apologised for a picture taken of him balancing on a balcony ledge.
The photo had been posted on Twitter but has since been taken down.
The 20-year-old tweeted: "You may have seen a photo of me today taken on top of a building. I regret being there and having a photo taken.
"It was a stupid and irresponsible thing to do. I am sorry, and do not endorse any fans trying to repeat this, as it is extremely dangerous."
Friends of the musician have been posting images of his London home on the social networking site, leading to fans working out where the boy band star lives.
"I know my friends have tweeted a lot of pictures of my house the past few days but can people please stop coming and waiting outside," wrote Payne.
"I'd just like to be able to walk outside as everyone does and enjoy time with my friends, not feel bad for not wanting to take a picture.
"Sorry if I've been rude to anyone but I've come to realise if I take one picture more people keep coming everyday xxx hope everyone's good."
Last month One Direction made chart history in the US.
Their third album, Midnight Memories, entered the US Billboard 200 at number one making them the only group to have their first three albums top the chart in their opening week.
It also went straight to number one in the UK and is the fastest-selling album for two years.
Midnight Memories is the follow-up to Take Me Home, which also went to number one.
Their debut album, Up All Night, went to number two in the UK when it was released in 2011.
