The Black Keys confirm Glastonbury Festival show in June

The Black Keys have confirmed that they are playing at Glastonbury Festival this year.

While speaking to Zane Lowe on Radio 1 about their new album, Turn Blue, the DJ announced their slot on Sunday 29 June.

They will be performing on the Pyramid stage before the yet-to-be-named headliners.

The band join other confirmed acts, external including Dolly Parton, Lily Allen, Disclosure and Blondie on the bill.

Arcade Fire will headline the Friday night of Glastonbury, which runs from 25-29 June on Worthy Farm in Pilton.

The Black Keys were also recently announced as headliners of this year's Latitude Festival.

During the show the duo, made up of guitarist Dan Auerbach and drummer Patrick Carney, also revealed their new single, Fever, which is the first track to be released from the album.

Details of their upcoming eighth album were revealed via Mike Tyson's Twitter account.

The former boxer posted a message with the words "Turn Blue" along with a link to a teaser clip.

The video revealed the album's release date, which is scheduled for 13 May.

Turn Blue has been produced by the band and Danger Mouse and was recorded mostly in LA.

The album, which is the follow-up to 2011's El Camino, was recorded at Sunset Sound where the likes of Led Zeppelin have recorded in the past.

Last year the pair, who formed in 2001, won numerous Grammy Awards, including best rock performance, best rock song for Lonely Boy and best rock album for El Camino.

They also picked up the 2013 Brit Award for best international group.
