Calvin Harris has been confirmed for the line-up at BBC Radio 1's Big Weekend later this month.
The Scottish DJ and producer will play the main stage on Saturday 24 May, Nick Grimshaw revealed on the Breakfast Show.
He will perform ahead of headliners Coldplay at the event, which takes place in Glasgow.
"I would feel really left out to not be there, so I'm well excited," said Harris.
Katy Perry has already been announced earlier this week as the headline act on the evening of Sunday 25 May.
"I'm very excited because some of my friends will be there. Rita Ora, Chvrches. I love The 1975. Your Saturday line-up is dope," she said.
Other acts also due to play including Pharrell Williams, Bastille, Jake Bugg, Kings of Leon and Lily Allen.
Ed Sheeran, who will also be performing on the Saturday night, said: "I'm looking forward to it.
"Glasgow is a mental place to go and do shows because the crowds are all up for it."
Clean Bandit, Lorde, Sam Smith and London Grammar have all been announced for the In New Music We Trust Stage at Radio 1's Big Weekend in Glasgow.
Zane Lowe announced the line-up, which will see Kasabian and Example headline, on his show on Monday night.
Ben Cooper, controller of Radio 1 and 1Xtra, said: "It's a phenomenal line-up, probably the best in the world this year, in one of the world's great music cities."
All 50,000 tickets for Radio 1's Big Weekend in Glasgow Green were given away earlier this month in 35 minutes.
DJs Annie Mac, Pete Tong and Zane Lowe will kick off Big Weekend with an outdoor party.
They will be joined by some of the world's biggest DJs on the evening of Friday 23 May to host the event for 14,000 music fans live from George Square.
In the lead up to the event, BBC Radio 1 and BBC Learning will also open Radio 1's Academy from 10-16 May.
During the week, Radio 1 says it hopes to inspire local 16 to 19-year-olds by inviting them to attend a series of radio shows, master classes and Q&As.
Big Weekend, which will be produced in partnership with Glasgow City Marketing Bureau, will be broadcast live on Radio 1, 1Xtra and streamed on the Radio 1 website.
Highlights will also be broadcast live on BBC Three.
