Cody Simpson spearheads International Happiness Day playlist
- Published
Singer-songwriter Cody Simpson is fronting the push to create what's being billed as the "world's happiest play-list".
The United Nations is behind an International Day Of Happiness on March 20th.
Some of the world's biggest artists are nominating tracks which make them happy.
Ed Sheeran, David Guetta, John Legend and James Blunt are all adding a song to the list.
Simpson, who's going out with model GiGi Hadid and also collaborated with Justin Bieber, will launch the full playlist on Friday.
He said: "I am really pleased to be part of such an amazing campaign to raise awareness of International Day of Happiness. I hope everyone gets behind the day and shares the track that makes them happiest!"
Under the hashtag #HappiestSoundsLike, the campaign hopes to highlight the plight of "millions around the world suffering from poverty, human rights abuses and humanitarian crises".
United Nations Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon nominated "Signed Sealed Delivered", by Stevie Wonder, for the playlist.
