Secret Glastonbury sets that might actually happen

Kanye West, Florence and the Machine and The Who are the headliners at this year's Glastonbury, which starts on Friday.

But in true Worthy Farm tradition there is also an unofficial list. Yes, those much talked about secret gigs.

We've been digging through the rumours and working out who else could be heading down to Michael Eavis's field in the next few days.

These are the acts we think could be delighting fans, away from the main stages.

A Bastille secret set is one of the strongest likelihoods, with a retweet starting the fairly loud whispers.

Many reckon this was how lead singer Dan confirmed there *will* be a performance., external

But then the band's drummer only went and did a Dave Grohl, injuring his leg during the Polish leg of their tour.

This post says it all - Woody in the back of an ambulance., external

Woody has since said his foot is fine: "I sprained a ligament but no need to postpone any gigs."

We know the band has been working on new material, so now is the perfect time to test the tunes on the audience.

Also, some bookmakers have suspended betting on the chances of a surprise Bastille show.

We haven't mentioned her for, like, 20 minutes!

So let's talk Taylor. The most key of points is that she's in the UK on tour right now.

She hasn't performed at Glastonbury before but given her super stellar status in 2015, surely she's itching to make her mark at the most famous festival on earth?

We do understand,of course, that she is headline material.

So maybe she is waiting for a Saturday night slot on the Pyramid stage when her next album comes out.

Yes we know he's headlining the main stage on the Saturday.

But Kanye's got previous when it comes to surprise shows.

He put on a secret gig at London's Koko venue in March, giving fans no more than two hours to get there.

We're not saying that Kanye needs a warm-up session ahead of Saturday, but we wouldn't be astonished if Yeezy turned up somewhere on the farm on Friday.

They're fresh from headlining British Summer Time in London and the Isle of Wight festival, so why not keep that momentum going with a set at Glastonbury?

Drummer Dave Rowntree says they were never asked to step in for the Foo Fighters on the Friday night, according to NME, external. Florence got that call.

He says that they are not available but that "it's the most fun festival in Europe".

So we are not taking this as an outright "it's not-going-to-happen".

Fleetwood Mac may not be headlining but Mick says "never say never" when it comes to performing at the festival

Logistically this is still very possible as the folk-rock legends have a gig at London's O2 on the Friday and Saturday, which we reckon gives them enough time to head to site in Somerset for Sunday.

Mick Fleetwood did tell the world on Radio 2 that they were definitely not headlining the festival, though.

But he didn't mention a nice little set in a tent, maybe on some hay bales.

Albert Hammond Jr

Albert has just announced a new album, Momentary Masters, which isn't out until 31 July, plus a 60-date tour.

He's also fresh from blowing away our music reporter Sinead Garvan with his other band The Strokes at BST in London's Hyde Park.

New music, a new band and the chance to impress Newsbeat, again. We feel these forces are too strong to resist.
