In case the title wasn't clear enough, Game of Thrones fans watch out - spoilers ahead!

Former Deadwood actor Ian McShane, who joined the cast for season six in August, has revealed something about his upcoming role.

He's hinted that in a one-off episode he'll be responsible for bringing a character back from the dead.

Ian also says fans may have seen his character before...so who is it?

Rumour has it, the show's creators were searching a for a certain look for his role.

Apparently casting asked for a "gruff ex-soldier who found religion...now a no-nonsense rural priest who ministers to the poor of the countryside".

Ian told Pop Goes The News, external that he is "responsible for bringing somebody back that you think you're never going to see again".

Who could be returning?

Creator George RR Martin loves killing off popular characters

Judging by the final episode of season five, a lot of people are going to be looking at one character in particular - who we won't mention just yet.

But with the number of characters who have faced writer George RR Martin's deadly wrath, this could mean just about anyone.

Fans think they've narrowed it down to three characters.

Jon Snow, Lady Stoneheart (if you search her name, you'll see even more spoilers) or the Hound.

A lot of people have turned to the books to help solve this mysterious hint.

Two names have risen to the surface - but stop reading right now if you don't want to see the details.

One theory is The Elder Brother.

In the books, Brienne of Tarth visits the Quiet Isle on her mission to find the missing Stark girls. There she meets the Elder Brother - who is linked to...The Hound.

Another theory is Septon Meribald - a character from A Feast for Crows.

Septon is linked to...Lady Stoneheart AND The Hound.

There's a lot of speculation as to what could really be going on and viewers will have to wait and see.

Unless of course, more spoilers emerge.

Game of Thrones is expected to be back on our screens in spring 2016.
