Lily Allen and Alexa Chung have come out in support of remaining in the EU.

They're the latest in a line of celebrities who've publicly declared their support for the Remain campaign.

Lily has changed her Twitter name to Lily All (In), and tweeted about her disappointment that young stars aren't more engaged with the referendum.

Alexa Chung posted an Instagram photo where she posed outside 10 Downing Street with 'In' written on her hand.

Lily's tweet is a reference to Bob Geldof's Remain boat, which he sailed down the Thames with a host of In supporters on board.

Prominent figures in the rival Leave campaign, including Nigel Farage and Labour MP Kate Hoey, sailed alongside it in a fishing boat and doused Geldof's vessel with hoses.

Remain supporters

Alexa Chung's message was simple.

Under the picture of her holding up the palm of her hand, she wrote: "Hi, I'm IN. Either way PLEASE remember to vote. ❤️❤️#INcrowd".

Another addition to the celebrity Remain ranks is Peaky Blinders actress Annabelle Wallis.

Keira Knightley, Jeremy Clarkson, Benedict Cumberbatch and Eddie Izzard are some of the other celebrities that support Remain.

In May, 300 names from the arts and culture world signed an open letter about how Britain's creative industry would be better in the EU.

The Leave campaign also has some heavyweight support from the likes of Michael Caine, Sir Ian Botham, Joan Collins, Liz Hurley, Sol Campbell, Bernie Ecclestone and Julian Fellowes.

Dragon's Den panellist Duncan Bannatyne was a dedicated Leave supporter two years ago, but seems to be undecided now.
