As Karlie Kloss gets mixed up over Beyonce which other celebs have got it wrong

Model Karlie Kloss has been mocked online after praising Beyonce, Destiny's Child and the song Waterfalls in particular.

The big problem here? Waterfalls was a song by TLC, not Destiny's Child.

Karlie, who is one of Taylor Swift's best friends, made the mistake in a questionnaire for Love magazine about the most important music in her life.

She got confused and the internet came for her.

Here's what she wrote., external

And here's how people on Twitter responded.

Caity asked if Karlie had ever wondered why Beyonce never performed such a famous song live., external

The downside of being famous is that when you make a mistake, everyone's there to witness, comment and turn you into a meme.

Here are five more stars who have learned the hard way.

Do you really want to hurt Sarah Michelle Gellar?

When George Michael died on Christmas Day 2016, the world was moved by the loss of a musical talent and powerful figure in the LGBTQ+ community.

None more so than actress Sarah Michelle Gellar, who took to Twitter to pay her respects.

Except she got the wrong George.

Boy George is, of course, still very much alive and currently starring in Celebrity Apprentice.

And Zac Goldsmith's favourite Bollywood movie is...

There's none quite as awkward as a British politician (hello Ed Miliband eating a bacon sandwich) but London mayor candidate Zac Goldsmith was mercilessly mocked when he said he was a huge Bollywood fan.

"Anything with a Bollywood theme I will lap it up," he told Red Carpet News TV, who then asked him to name his favourite film.

"I'm not going to give you one. I can't think of a favourite. I love almost everything about Bollywood."

Sure you do Zac!

There's a reason 50 Cent was picked last in school

There's nothing more #masc than hip hop or sport, so it seems a no brainer that rappers would excel on the track or field.

Well not if you're 50 Cent, who pitched (what some called) the worst ball in history in 2014 at a game between the Pittsburgh Pirates and the New York Mets.

He missed the mark and later claimed his poor pitch was due to excessive masturbation.

It's not all about Taylor Swift

Nicki Minaj thought her Anaconda video deserved to be nominated for Video Of The Year at the 2015 MTV Video Music Awards.

It wasn't and she vented on Twitter.

But Taylor Swift, who had been nominated for the award, took it personally and hit back at Nicki.

Nicki claims her message was aimed at the music industry rather than individual artists.

And as tends to happen in this day and age, it was all over in less than 48 hours.

David's dead

But not the one Tiffany Pollard believed., external

Cases of mistaken identity don't come bigger than when Celebrity Big Brother contestant Tiffany Pollard was informed by Angie Bowie of David's death.

She wrongly assumed Angie had meant fellow housemate David Gest and her iconic musician ex-husband.

Cue hysteria and a small nugget of TV gold.

It was David Bowie that had actually died in January 2016.

Then, almost unbelievably, three months later David Gest died too - but not before Tiffany had capitalised on her hysteria on the reality show by selling "David Is Dead" T-shirts on her website.
