Rachel Dolezal believed to have changed her name to Nkechi Amare Diallo

Rachel Dolezal, the woman who was outed as white by her parents, has reportedly changed her name.
The former Washington president of the National Association for the Advancement of Coloured People (NAACP) is now called Nkechi Amare Diallo.
A report by the Daily Mail, external claims she changed her name in a Washington court in October.
Nkechi is a Nigerian name which translates as "gift of God".
Her Twitter and Instagram are still credited to Rachel Dolezal.
Dolezal came to international attention in 2015 when it was revealed Rachel had a carved a career as a black spokesperson despite being born to white parents.
She told the BBC in 2016 why she identified as black.
Rachel had posted photos of on social media claiming that black people were her relatives, not her white family.
But she was caught out on local news when she was unable to answer a question about whether she was African-American.

Her estranged family later shared photos online proving her racial heritage.
"This is a fabrication. We were very in touch with our children growing up, I was a stay home mum," Ruthanne Dolezal told ABC News in 2015.
"It's alarming that Rachel continues to make false statements and have no acknowledgement that she's been doing that and it's become an issue."

Following the revelations and claims that she was using cultural appropriation to further her career, Rachel said she hit tough times.
She told The Guardian, external in 2015 that she was unable to find work and had been offered parts in porn movies.
A TEDx talk she gave in April 2016 was the subject of "internal debate" at TED HQ, who eventually posted it, albeit with an explainer, external on why they delayed but then chose to share her speech online.
She is still apologising for her deception two years later.
