Charlotte Crosby and Stephen Bear on their new show which promises tears, tantrums and tattoos

Two people walk into a tattoo parlour - a few hours later they leave - feeling a mixture of anger, embarrassment and in tears.

That pretty much sums up MTV's, Just Tattoo of US, and its presenters say that's the secret behind the success.

Stephen Bear told us: "It's going to be massive. There wasn't security on this show but maybe there should have been."

The show sees two people design a tattoo for each other with the reveal coming after they've been inked.

Stephen Bear, who featured on Ex on the Beach and was Celebrity Big Brother winner in 2016, says he was often the shoulder to cry on after the tattoos had been done.

"It can be anywhere on their body, any size, any word, a picture of absolutely anything. So results were a mix of funny, tears and tantrums.

"I wound someone up so much that they threatened to smash my car. That's how angry they were."

Vetting the contestants alongside Stephen Bear is Geordie Shore star Charlotte Crosby.

"When I got the call to do this I thought, 'What an amazing opportunity to be on another crazy show.'

"I am all for the crazy ones. I fall asleep if I get invited to do a boring one."

Naturally neither presenter wanted to give away too much as to what to expect from the series.

Although we did get a sneak preview of the first episode.

"It features two female cousins. One writes a very rude derogatory word on the other," Stephen Bear said.

Charlotte added: "And she was fine with it after originally seeing it. But it was the story behind it that led to tears and drama."

Stephen Bear explained the design was an attempt by one of the cousins to try to get the other to stop sleeping around.

"She was engaged but had apparently slept with five other people behind her fella's back. No-one knew that had happened until the show obviously.

"That said I reckon that's tame in comparison to some of the other tattoos we saw on the show."

Although the first series is yet to be aired MTV are already looking for contestants to take part in more episodes of the show.

One thing Stephen and Charlotte did admit to is that they decided to put themselves in the shoes of the contestants by designing tattoos for each other in the final episode of the series.

"Mine is beautiful. I've had a lot of compliments about mine," Charlotte said. "His on the other hand is just so stupid it's ridiculous."

Charlotte Crosby and Stephen Bear clearly enjoyed working with each other. So much so that the pair recently announced they were dating.

"She's a lovely girl, funny, gorgeous and everything's going well so far," said Stephen.

"I give a lot of bravado. I've been with a lot of girls but once I settle down, I'm very faithful."

Just Tattoo of Us starts on 3 April on MTV at 10pm.
