Chester Bennington's widow has thanked James Corden for allowing the family of the Linkin Park singer to decide whether an episode of the Carpool Karaoke series featuring him is aired.

Bennington, who died in July at the age of 41, was due to appear in an upcoming episode of Carpool Karaoke: The Series.

But Corden, who is an executive producer on the show said that the family should decide whether it is aired.

No decision has been made yet.

"We will approach it in whichever manner his family or the people that were involved in that episode, however they would like it to be handled. " Corden told the Associated Press.

"We will navigate it as delicately as possible and just adhere to whatever wishes they would want because I don't think there's any other way we could deal with it. It's a tragedy."

Talinda Bennington, Chester's wife responded on Twitter saying "Thank you @JKCorden."

Bennington appeared alongside his bandmates and The Hangover actor Ken Jeong.
