Skulls found in Cheddar Gorge 'used as cups'

The skulls of three Ice Age people discovered in a Somerset cave more than 20 years ago were used as cups, researchers say.

The 14,700 year-old skulls, found among human bones in Cheddar Gorge in 1987, are missing the bone below the eye sockets, making them bowl-shaped.

Dr Silvia Bello showed one of the skulls to Richard Westcott, explaining how the researchers came to their conclusion.
