Tassie tiger joey seen in 3D

Scientists have scanned preserved Tasmanian tiger specimens to better understand the marsupial's development in the pouch. The technique of X-ray Computed Tomography (CT) allowed the researchers to virtually dissect the joeys, and subsequently to build 3D models - and even to print copies of those models. The Tasmanian tiger went extinct in 1936.
