Satellite movie tracks Icelandic volcano eruption
The Helsinki-based satellite radar company Iceye imaged the Fagradalsfjall volcano as it erupted lava across the Icelandic landscape. The firm's spacecraft are precisely organised in orbit so that they can image the exact same spot on Earth every day. These images, run together as a repeating short movie, covering the period from 1 April to 6 May, 2021.
