How the James Webb telescope will get into space
The $10bn James Webb Space Telescope will ride to orbit atop a European Ariane rocket, which launches from the Kourou spaceport in French Guiana. This animation, produced by the European Space Agency, imagines the flight, and the sequence of deployments Webb must complete before it can start observing the Universe.
