CES 2016: Concierge - who needs a smart button?

A 'smart button' designed to control all of a home's internet-connected appliances has been developed by a French start-up.

The makers of Concierge say the button can switch off the lights, start the dishwasher and water the garden when you leave the house, all with one press.

But it does not come cheap - the company expects it to cost €170 ($185; £124).

The BBC's Leo Kelion asked the company's project officer, Antoine Georglin, what a physical button could do that a smartphone app could not.
