Sarah Smith

Sarah is our North America editor. She covers the news from Donald Trump’s White House, along with other major events in the US. She was the Scotland editor from 2014-2022, and before that a correspondent and presenter at Channel 4 News, including a stint in Washington from 2007 to 2011. Sarah started her career in journalism at BBC Scotland in the previous century, as a BBC graduate production trainee.
