CCTV leads to riot conviction in Birmingham

A man has been jailed for 20 months after stealing a t-shirt from the Armani store in Birmingham, during the August riots.

Esa Harding, 25, handed himself in after being caught on CCTV and identified by a blood sample.

As the courts continue to jail hundreds of people following the mass disorder, the number of prisoners in England and Wales has reached a record high for the third week running.
