John Terry 'looks forward' to clearing his name

The Chelsea and England captain, John Terry, will stand trial on a charge that he racially abused an opponent, but not until July, when England have played in Euro 2012.

At Westminster Magistrates' Court, the player's barrister entered a not guilty plea on his behalf.

John Terry was not in court and denies making a racist comment to the QPR defender, Anton Ferdinand, during a Premier League match in October.

The England captain issued a statement, which said he was looking "forward to the opportunity to clear his name".

Dan Roan reports from Westminster Magistrates Court.
