Diamond Jubilee: The man decorating the royal barge

In June, the Queen will sail on a boat leading a flotilla of some 1,000 vessels down the Thames as part of her Diamond Jubilee celebrations.

By the summer the Thames cruiser being used for the task will have been transformed into a highly-decorative royal barge.

Alan Lamb, head of historic carving at the City & Guilds of London Art School, shows the BBC how he is progressing with the sculptures which will embellish the ship, including those for the prow.
