Shafilea Ahmed's parents found guilty of her murder
The parents of a 17-year-old Shafilea Ahmed have been found guilty of her murder.
Iftikhar, 52, and Farzana Ahmed, 49, had denied her murder but the jury at Chester Crown Court returned guilty verdicts against them both.
Mr Justice Roderick Evans jailed them both for life, ordering each to serve a minimum of 25 years.
Ahmed went missing from her home in Warrington in 2003 and her body was found on the banks of the River Kent in Cumbria six months later.
The couple suffocated Shafilea with a plastic bag in an apparent "honour killing".
