In pictures: Snowfall across the UK

Snowfall is bringing disruption to commuters across parts of the UK and has shut schools, blocked roads and led to several rail services being suspended.
Here are a selection of wintry scenes from around the UK.

The heaviest snowfall has been in Scotland, and resident Colin Cadden took this picture from his house in Aviemore

But there has also been snow in many parts of England. In Shropshire, it has forced two schools to close, and Lee Gibson took this shot of his dogs walking on the Long Mynd

The inclement weather has caused multiple problems on the roads, and lorries were pictured crawling along the A9 in Perthshire
