Johnson: 'We are putting more money into counter-terrorism'

The foreign secretary has said the Conservatives are putting more money into counter-terrorism. Boris Johnson said they are increasing the number of armed officers and putting £500m into GCHQ.

He told the Today programme it is up to the Mayor of London to spend more on police should he choose to do so.

When asked if he would welcome President Trump to the UK after comments made about London Mayor Sadiq Kahn, Mr Johnson replied he saw "no reason" to rescind the State invitation.
