Afghanistan: Labour MP calls on government to 'step up'

The shadow foreign secretary, Lisa Nandy, has written to the government to safeguard people seeking evacuation from Kabul.

"There are makeshift camps that have sprung up where people are being beaten and even reports of rapes," she said.

"So I've been asking the government today to step up those efforts... to see if we can open up a safe corridor."

"I very, very much hope somebody is listening."
