Sajid Javid: 'Extra £5.4 billion funding for NHS'

The health secretary Sajid Javid has announced extra NHS funding to respond to Covid-19 and tackle the backlog caused by the pandemic.

He said the extra £5.4bn in England was critical to ensure the health service had what it needed to manage the ongoing pandemic and help tackle waiting lists.
