Watch: Sightings of catering lorry used in prison escape

A nationwide hunt is under way for Daniel Khalife who escaped from Wandsworth prison in London earlier this week.

Police say Khalife escaped the prison by strapping himself to the underneath of a delivery lorry.

The lorry was captured on camera as it approached East Putney. It is not known if the suspect was still strapped underneath.

At 08:15 the Metropolitan Police was alerted about the missing prisoner and at 08:37 the delivery vehicle was stopped and searched as it made its way back towards the prison.

Sir Mark Rowley, the Metropolitan Police Commissioner, said Khalife’s escape was “clearly pre-planned” and that the manhunt was a “massive operation”.
