Rishi Sunak says AI has threats and risks - but outlines its potential

PM Rishi Sunak has said there are both opportunities and dangers in Artificial Intelligence (AI), as he announced that the UK was creating the world's first AI Safety Institute.

He said the body would evaluate and test new types of the tech.

In a speech aiming to present the UK as a world leader on AI, the PM said the technology was already creating jobs.

But he also warned AI could help make it easier to build chemical and biological weapons.
