Bournemouth: Digger driver uses bucket to rescue colleague from sea

Footage shows the moment a digger driver used the bucket of his vehicle to rescue a colleague, who had also been driving a digger, from the sea in Dorset.

The worker had become stranded after his digger got stuck in the sand at Bournemouth beach.

Bournemouth, Christchurch and Poole (BCP) environment councillor Andy Hadley said the driver was unhurt and had managed to isolate the fuel supply.

The machinery was being used to replace groynes as part of a scheme by BCP Council to protect the beach from erosion.
